wanted to write a small feedback/story after finishing my first 1.2M run with mosin while being *naked* it might not be that big of a deal but to a lvl 15 who started the game just few days ago it is , i've been advised by one of the groups vetrans to use just a mosin with the best ammo and go naked , it's been hard in the start because i didn't understand how good the weapon is but with time i realized it literally one-taps anything ( even that 500K rub gear guy from my last game :p )it also helped me a lot surpassing gear fear cause a mosin + 60 best ammo bullets ( 40 on container ) is barely a 50K rub which i can get anytime i extract my scavalso what helped me getting through gear fear is 3 things :
Map Knowledge : it might sound so simple but it's not , it's not about knowing extractions and loots only the most important thing to know is the spawns , in each map we mostly worry about first 5-10 mins and last 5-10 mins ( exit campers ) ; first 5-10 mins there is only PMC's we need to worry about since scav players won't spawn yet usally and normal scavs will always yell at you before shooting , so knowing every spawn in the map is mega important even tho i played less than 100 raids so far but i got countless kills from catching PMC players off-guard by checking and tracking their spawns and finding them sprinting and you also will have way less fear cause usally after 5-10 mins most of players already hit the placed they wanted to go to and will either start moving arround ( making noise ) or trying to extract .I really recommand you watching this video it might only talk about *customs* but it explains a lot about how to survive in this game in general (:
Best Ammo : i don't think i'm telling you anything new here but believe me using the best ammo gives you way more confidence compared to using bad ammo cause by using best ammo you feel confident that every shoot you hit will have a significant effect i've seen a lot of people dieing because they took their time trying to one tap a geared pmc and ended up getting one taped , just invest in good ammo , put most in container and some in pockets
There is a WIPE! : the original reason of gear fear is to not have anything in your stash , and sooner or later you will not have anything in your stash , do budget runs / offline runs to learns maps etc but whenever you feel confident go for it and use some high value weapons and loadouts if you ever hit 0 Rub don't worry even big streamers went through it besides you can just consider it like the start of a *NEW WIPE* :=)Also take good advantage of your scav runs , if your scav has a 50k+ weapon just run like a rat and exit in first 5 mins it might be a run through but it's a 50K+ rub in 5 minsalso whenever you're on your scav , never kill the other scavs early not only they will gang up on you but you'll miss a great opportunity ; always track them and stay near them , if they lock in a pmc they will yell and you'll know then just keep watching and take the good moment to catch the pmc off-guard and have double victories you can loot the pmc and loot the killed scavs without having the other scavs aggro on you
in the end i want to thank anyone who made it this far while reading , i'm still pretty noob to the game i just said few tips i learned from my few raids and streams i watched and i hope i helped anyone with some tips here ^^
