An argument for ship interiors.

Recently I've seen a lot of discourse around ship interiors. I thought I'd lay some things down here and see if we can draw some attention to the subject directly.

Many say that it's a waste of time and would get boring quickly. I'm here to try convince my fellow CMDRs otherwise.

First off, ship interiors would lend a great sense of scale to the ships. Sit in a Beluga bridge and look about. It's massive. Then realize that the huge window before you is tiny on the ship as a whole.

Secondly I think instead of getting dull it could add so much to the game. Some functions, like AFMUs could be moved to dedicated areas in the ships. We could have outfitting rooms for the foot gear. Custom rooms that could have health benifits. Not to mention seeing the SRVs and fighters hanging around. Turrets could also have dedicated consoles. Imagine going to the cargo bay to organise, discard and maybe even stash illicit items ala Firefly. Using the FSS while cruising through a system. Or doing reboots through a type of mini game to gain more module points back.

I'm sure there are more benifits and fun stuff. I for one want to stare out of my Beluga's roof window while autopiloting to the next planet. Then I'll walk out of the hatch and step down onto the surface of some undiscovered moon like Armstrong in '69.

Well I hope this changes some minds. Regardless, I'll see you in the black. o7
