I'm obviously late to the party, but I finally decided to get the game. Immediately, I hate the following that any new player sees after the first 5 seconds:
- YOU. DON'T. WALK. STRAIGHT. Rather, the camera is not directly behind the player. You can see the camera behind the player and the crosshair. The player doesn't walk straight. The camera is oriented slightly to the right of the player, and it's infuriating. I never thought this could be so annoying, but I want the camera directly behind the player. Instead, we are listing to the right.
- Speaking of the crosshairs, the camera focus feature that focuses what you see based on the location of the crosshair gets worse and worse the more you play. And it's solely based on the location of the camera behind the player. I'll be looking "down" to see more ahead of the player, but it's all blurry because the crosshair is pointed 5 feet in front of the player. Sure, I can look "up", but then half the screen is taken up by the ground.
Honorable mention:
- This one is less annoying, but it's worth mentioning. The aggro range on enemies is insane. They will literally follow you throughout the entire map. It's hard to tell if it's a region/biome change that de-aggros them, but wow.
It's these minor things that make a game, and it's currently really not user-friendly.
