I’m considering decommissioning my fleet carrier cause I’m stuck at the Peak.

My FC, all my ships and that of my squadron’s are stuck at Rackham's Peak, HIP 58832. We've been trying to get out of the system for 3 weeks to do some platinum mining before the November surprise Frontier has planned. I've been told by multiple CMDRs that they've been stuck there for months due to a specific player group intentionally bottlenecking the ONLY system you can jump to when departing HIP 58832. One player stated it took them 7 months to get out the last time this happened (had I known I never would have come). The PTN has advised that “they are working on a solution, but it will take some time". I am considering decommissioning my FC and taking the free sidewinder to escape. I read the FCOC writeup which seemed to answer most of my questions (https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/fleet-carrier-decommissioning-demystified-and-the-mistakes-in-the-in-game-codex.565802/). I’ve read that once you decommission the FC all your ships and modules are transferred to the nearest Starport with carrier services for free, which is honestly my biggest concern since my fleet of ships is 20 strong all of them engineered to some degree. I'm also worried about losing my engineered or specialty modules. I would rather wait here in hell or quit playing the game ,than have to regrind the mats to re-engineer all those ships! I’m expecting it to cost me about 500M CR due to fees, lost cargo, tritium, and services etc. but I think my squad will be okay given the free transfer of ships back to the bubble.

Has anyone done this before? Is there anything I am missing?
