Microsoft seems to be adding full desktop colour correction to Windows, which would make the recent app ban completely pointless

Windows has for a long long time had a problem with not having a color managed desktop. It outputs sRGB and doesn't think further than that which meant with wide gamut monitors your desktop would input oversaturated colors, and even regular sRGB colors would be incorrect.

This is the primary reason tools like Novideo_sRGB were created and shows how they're completely unrelated to this game, but semi-recently Microsoft posted several blogs about the new color management system that is coming. Unless I'm mistaken this finally means color correction for the whole windows Desktop, which is the exact thing that these tools were doing.

Is BSG's next step to block Windows 11?
