New player playing from China a little confused what to do next.

witcher triss merigold gwint

Hi all apologises in advance I'm sure you get stuff like all the time.

Never played gwent in the witcher but decided to try it a couple days ago. To my surprise I ended up loving it maybe it helped I won my first game vs a real person even though I had no idea what I was doing.

I tried to do as much research as possible I ended up watching this which was quite helpful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWvQRY_K1Yo
And after reading some other stuff onlnie I think i have a decent understandings of the basics of the game. The problem is Im playing from china and at the moment most vpns are pretty temperamental. So when I tried to search some of my questions on the subbreddits search function it just bugged out.

So a couple of questions i ended up playing monster the most I guess alot of new players go down that route. I did like the tutorial deck of the Scoia'tael but it was more to do with elves and using deploy abilties etc to do damage. The actual deck they give you as a starter is to do with dryads and buffing which i didnt have as much fun with.

my questions are;
1.I was looking at the reward book and it says i need to complete a tree before i can open other pages. Do i need to finish every node or just get to the end of 1 side of the monster page ?
2. I read somewhere that the idea is to open kegs for 1 faction until you get the bronzes/ rares. The thread i read this on was a bit dated is this still the case
3. https://www.playgwent.com/en/decks/guides/286748 this is the deck theabeasty said to try in the video. I saw there were some patch changes though a week or so ago and i tried to read them but didnt quite get them. Wondering if its still worth it to play this. Or does anyone recommend any other deck.

Sorry for the format if anyone has any other tips/suggestions I appreciate it!

Thanks for the help in advance!
