PSA: The Creatures of the Mist Are Not Friends.

Specifically I speak of the Dvergr.

So many of you are misguided by your own wants and desires. Your hopes for companionship. I am here to try and speak reason to you so that your delusions don't end with you perishing again.

You may think "well, as long as I don't attack them or their homes, we can be friends," but that's not the case. Pretend all you want, and be as kind to them as you want, but the truth is that they do not care about you or your life at all.

The Dvergr have been in the mistlands for an untold amount of years, waiting for reprieve from Niðavellir that will never come. They have been abandoned in Valheim by their own kind, either through choice or other means. Regardless of how, the fact is that nobody is coming for them now. The Dvergr in the realm are the only ones you'll find; nobody else will help them.

But don't think for even a second that you should risk your life to save them when they would never, not in a millenia of passive behaviour and peaceful building, risk their lives to save you. You are an outsider, just as you always will be. To them, you are just a target they don't see reason in shooting at.

You are not their friend. You are not their ally. You are a target who isn't worth the eitr or bolts it would take to kill you yet, but believe me when I say that they will hunt you to the end of their days if you so much as mildly spite them.

Build with them, steal from them, or kill them. It matters not. So long as you, brave einherjar, know in your heart that the Dvergr in Valheim are not the friends you may want them to be, I have done my duty.
