Justified or not, in the majority of my games (Ancient/Divine), someone just gives up or griefs within the first ten minutes due to losing the laning stage. Sometimes it's as small as dying once in lane, other times it's because they can't stand their lane partner.
"im done"
"im afk jungle"
"game is over"
"he is griefing me"
Whether or not they're right that their LANE is over, doesn't always mean the entire GAME is over. It's absurd to give up and ruin the game for 9 other people because you had a bad lane.
Player base seriously has the resilience of… …I can't even think of a good analogy, because most animals (earthworms, cockroaches, slugs) are more resilient than dota 2 players.
People can argue about whether or not it's due to meta being all about laning phase. That's a separate, worthwhile discussion to have. But on the issue of giving up after 5-10 minutes: cut that shit out! Stop giving up and ruining the game for everyone else because you lost lane.
Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.
