Using forgiveness to gain mmr and have more fun in pubs! (Video inside) – Oldmansal3

Hey everyone!

The natural reaction to making mistakes in pubs is usually flame, but when your teammate makes a mistake, and you are the first to say "its okay dont worry about it" or "mistakes happen, we can still do X or Y" is incredibly valuable.

I remember a game where my drow ranger completely messed up in getting an easy kill in lane and ended up getting us killed. I instantly said "its okay dont even worry about it, we got this" and then when I tpd back to the lane, I made so many STUPID mistakes, but he didnt get mad at me at all, because I forgave him first, so he instantly felt a connection with me.

The truth is, most people play worse when they feel their team doesnt trust them, they will lose confidence, or even turn and be defensive.

Lets say you plan a smoke gank with your team, find the antimage and your earthshaker misses his fissure, being the FIRST to instantly say "its okay its okay lets go back push lanes and use another smoke later" can totally change the vibe and stop the incoming flame/blame fest which will only distract the players on your team, and stop any teamwork that is going to happen.

Please check out this Entertaining video where our clinkz mid lagged out and ended up completely feeding the enemy storm which completely ruined our chances of winning the game.

The goal is to make solo que feel like party mmr. This will make you win more games, and if you do lose, you will still have more fun and create opportunities to learn from, rather than just giving up.

thanks for reading! what are your thoughts?

Please check out the video, as the game really was pretty damn fun/funny and this could happen to your games as well…

People can be really nice to you when you forgive their mistakes!
