What has tarkov done right with guns and on the other hand doesn’t reflect true feeling of shooting mechanics+integration into real combat situations?

I live in a city that has very strict gun regulation. My experience with handling and maintaining a gun is limited. Part of the reason I enjoy this game so much is the immersion and variety of the guns. So for those that have been in the military, had combat training, weapons handling, and own a collection of… how good (or bad) has tarkov simulated guns, shooting, and combat movement/action?

Can you actually create such monstrosities like the blinding sun-gun saiga?

Do weapons malfunction quite often? Does durability go down a lot with common use? What are some things gun-play in tarkov that is missing?

Does the police/military prefer to use armor penetrating rounds over what the regular joe shmoe uses?

How effective is real-life armor at preventing lethal bullet wounds?

Bonus question: what gun in the game has tarkov made you go “Wtf?” because of how inaccurately it was portrayed compared to real-life ownership?
