Dota 2 Update – MAIN CLIENT – March 12, 2018

A new patch has been dispatched for the main client. I'll be covering only those changes which are not mentioned on the official page.

Dota Plus Updates

Terrain

• Spring Terrain added. Expires on July 1, 2018.

Chat Wheel

• Hundreds of Chat Wheel responses added for heroes across varies Tiers.

Other

• Hero Level Badge has 5 tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Master.
• A ton of new kill eater events have been added to track statistics for various spells / actions by heroes.
• A fuck ton of new Challenges have been added.
• Plus Battle Cup Trophy has been added.

UI Updates

In-Game

• "Drag Required For Cast" UI error added when applicable.
• Quicks Stats now display K/D/A , LH/DN and Net Worth for both Current and Goal.

Dashboard

• Every hero page now has a "Trends" button .. which displays a ton of info on the trends for that respective hero.
• Social feed now displays when you buy Dota Plus membership and also when you earn badges.
• Average Denies has been added to your profile.

Settings

• Added 'Dota Plus' category to Options for Dota Plus related settings.
• Renderer settings have been added to Video Options. You can now change your renderer in-game without having to use Launch Options.

String Updates

Tooltip Updates

• Fixed Bloodrage description reading "dying unit" instead of "dying hero".
• Fixed Corrosive Skin description to read "slows the attack speed of any enemy that damages it" instead of "slows any enemy that damages it".

Other

• Supporting strings have been added for all Dota Plus related features.

Item Updates

• Ring of Basilius is now once again tagged as "Can Initially be Suggested"

Hero Updates

• Sand King, Kunkka now tagged as Support too.
• Added animation for Techies: Remote Mines cast.
• Fixed a couple of issues with talents not being linked correctly to their abilities.
• Fixed a couple of issues with Huskar's portrait.

Console Updates

• A ton of new console commands have been added to support all Plus related changes.
• A bunch of older console commands that are now obsolete have been removed.
• A bunch of engine related console commands have been added.

Workshop Updates

• No import tags (disabled) have been added to Jakiro and Techies item slots.

Patch 2

• Some backend bug fixes. Cannot document.
• Added localizations files for the new content for many languages.

Patch 3

Patch Size: Patch 1: 2.0 GB (with Tools), Patch 2: 20.8 MB (with Tools), Patch 3:77.2 MB (with Tools)
